Shantanu Jha

The idea behind Shantanu Jha Financial Services came from a growing interest in understanding financial markets and investing beyond simply looking at returns.

I became increasingly interested in understanding the research behind an investment, the underlying businesses, portfolio construction, asset allocation and the role different investments can play in achieving a financial objective.

This interest led me to explore equity research and financial markets through practical projects and industry exposure.

During my internship at Nirmal Bang Pvt. Ltd., I worked with the Equity Department and worked on a research project on NTPC Green Energy, involving fundamental analysis, industry research and understanding investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

That experience gave me practical exposure to how companies and industries are analysed and strengthened my interest in investment research.

As my understanding of financial markets developed, my focus gradually expanded towards mutual funds, portfolio analysis and goal-based investing.

This eventually led to the foundation of Shantanu Jha Financial Services in 2026.

At Shantanu Jha Financial Services, my work focuses on helping investors approach investing in a more structured way.

Alongside working with clients, I continue to research financial markets, mutual funds, businesses and investment strategies to develop a deeper understanding of the investment landscape.

Markets will always move. Opportunities will always come and go. But meaningful wealth creation is rarely built around constantly chasing the next opportunity.

My philosophy is centred around patience, discipline, research and a long-term perspective.

I believe investment decisions should be connected to a clear financial objective rather than driven by short-term market movements, market noise or emotions.

For me, investing is about understanding what you own, knowing why you own it, staying disciplined through different market cycles and giving your investments the time they need to work.

The objective is not to predict every market movement. It is to build a thoughtful investment approach and remain committed to the underlying financial goal.

Currently pursuing a BBA in Marketing & Finance with a strong focus on financial markets, investment analysis, portfolio management, mutual funds and wealth management.

Alongside academics, I actively build practical knowledge through finance projects, market research and hands-on learning in financial markets.

Shantanu Jha Financial Services is being built with a long-term vision of creating a financial services practice where investors can approach investing with greater clarity, structure and understanding.

As I continue to grow in the financial industry, my goal is to keep learning, researching and building a practice around responsible and informed investing.
